About This Place

Situated in the vibrant heart of Tribeca at 376 W Broadway, Cipriani Downtown epitomizes the richness and elegance of authentic Italian cuisine fused with contemporary fine dining flair. This celebrated restaurant offers a refined yet inviting atmosphere where classics are elevated through impeccable technique and the finest ingredients, making every meal an experience to savor.

Step into Cipriani Downtown and you are greeted by an ambiance that strikes a perfect balance between understated elegance and a warm, relaxed vibe. It’s a place where the meticulous attention to detail extends from the beautifully appointed interiors to the thoughtfully curated menu, inviting diners to indulge in moments of pure Italian culinary artistry.

The menu is a treasure trove of traditional Italian flavors reimagined with a modern touch. Pasta lovers will find themselves enchanted by dishes such as the Homemade Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli with Butter & Sage—delicate pillows enveloping a creamy filling that melts on the tongue, enhanced by the subtle aroma of sage-infused butter.

Another standout is the Rigatoni all’Amatriciana Bianca with Pecorino, where al dente pasta meets a rich, savory sauce punctuated by sharp pecorino cheese, delivering comfort and sophistication in every bite. For those seeking something more indulgent, the Baked White Tagliolini with Praga Ham offers a luxurious Italian twist on baked pasta, reminiscent of classic mac and cheese but layered with deep, resonant flavor.

Seafood aficionados are equally well catered to. The Steamed Chilean Sea Bass is a revelation—tender, flaky, and fresh, it practically dissolves on the tongue, a perfect foil to the vibrant flavors of accompanying sides like the bright and fragrant Risotto alla Primavera. Paired with a glass of crisp white wine or a classic Cipriani Bellini, the freshness of these dishes becomes an unforgettable highlight.

Main courses such as the Veal Piccatine al Limone with Rice Pilaf delight with their harmonious interplay of zesty lemon and tender veal, while the Grilled Wagyu Ribeye Steak Tagliata offers a sumptuous, smoky savoriness, paired impeccably with roasted potatoes to create a deeply satisfying plate.

Not to be overlooked, Cipriani’s dessert offerings serve as the perfect crescendo. The legendary Cipriani Vanilla Meringue Cake is a symphony of lightness and sweetness, with crisp meringue layers and creamy filling that entices the senses, while the Cipriani Chocolate Cake and Lemon Meringue Tart provide rich, memorable finales. A perfectly pulled coffee or glass of champagne rounds out the experience, embodying Cipriani’s commitment to refined indulgence.

Across numerous visits, guests consistently praise the blend of impeccable service and an atmosphere that never feels stuffy or pretentious. Raphael Sebban captured this sentiment beautifully, noting the "friendly staff and the manager who personally checked in,” which adds a layer of warmth rare for fine dining. Others, like Ariana Lucidonio, echoed the excellence of the pasta and seafood, emphasizing the perfectly cooked al dente textures and vibrant, fresh flavors.

What sets Cipriani Downtown apart is not only its masterful culinary execution but the genuine hospitality that turns dining into connection—whether celebrating a special occasion or enjoying an elegant lunch, each visit feels personalized and memorable.

For anyone seeking a sophisticated yet approachable slice of Italian culinary heritage in New York City, Cipriani Downtown offers an experience that delights all the senses and lingers in the memory long after the last bite.

Visited Cipriani Downtown for lunch and had a delightful experience. The baked white tagliolini with was good… think of it as a luxurious, Italian take on mac and cheese. I also tried the seabass pasta, which was fresh and flavorful. The staff were friendly, and the manager took the time to check in, adding a personal touch to the meal. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, making it a great spot for a leisurely lunch. the prices are on the higher side…even by NYC standards. Highly recommend for a special occasion or when you’re in the mood to treat yourself.

Came for a big birthday celebration with 8 people and had a great experience! The service was truly fantastic and so was the food. The rigatoni alla vodka and bolognese were standouts. Pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and the sauces were just right - simple but delicious. The chilean sea bass fell apart to the touch. The cucumber salad was crisp and bright. All the desserts were yummy - vanilla meringue cake was fluffy and airy. The only issue is how small the restaurant is. When I say tight quarters… i mean TIGHT! You don’t even know where to stand because a million waiters and patrons are constantly trying to maneuver through the place. It’s quite overstimulating, luckily we were a large party that was seated in the back.

I went with the dish of the day and started with a delicious burrata so fresh and flavorful. The salmon and salad were excellent as well. I finished with their famous meringue cake, which was good, though slightly below my expectations compared to the other dishes. The atmosphere is amazing, the staff is very attentive, and the place never feels pretentious. My friend had a cappuccino and I had a latte both were truly fantastic, freshly made and full of flavor. And of course, their Bellini is a must have, so refreshing and perfectly balanced. On my next visit I’ll definitely try the carpaccio and pasta. Overall, Cipriani truly lives up to its quality and hype

Cipriani Downtown was fantastic! The service was truly impeccable and the atmosphere warm and inviting. The Baby Artichoke and Avocado Salad with Shaved Parmesan..WOW! The steak tartare was excellent. We had the calf’s liver, which was absolutely out of this world, so rich and flavorfu! The rigatoni with zucchini was delicious. For dessert, the mille-feuille was so light and the perfect finish to the meal. Everything was beautifully prepared and the entire experience felt effortless and elegant. Highly recommend!

Cipriani stands as the very embodiment of Italian culinary heritage, a name synonymous with timeless refinement. Each plate of pasta arrives freshly crafted, delicate yet deeply flavorful, while the main courses—consistent in taste and impossible to resist—linger in memory long after the last bite. For over a decade, whether in Miami or New York, Cipriani has been a sanctuary of reliability and elegance, never once failing to enchant. The atmosphere exudes effortless sophistication, the service is orchestrated by a team of consummate professionals, and no visit feels complete without raising a glass of their signature Bellini—an icon in its own right.

The place was really crowded and we had to wait though we had a right reservation. It is really noisy spot to chat with old fellows, but if you are for the first time I would recommend you to be ready for such atmosphere. Again may be because of the crowdness we had to wait for our meals either. We ordered several types of pasta and I would rate them 7 out of 10. For a dessert we tried their bestseller but I wouldn't say it was incredible.
